Archaeology is one of the gathering life skills in Rise Online.

There are various excavation sites in the game where excavation can be done, and a wide variety of materials can be obtained by excavating. There are different archeology materials in the game and some of them are used in JewelCrafting.

How to excavate in Archaaeology?

A shovel is required to excavate in Archaeology. There are 4 different shovels in the game:

• Common Shovel – 100.000 Coins
• Rare Shovel – 1.000.000 Coins
• Epic Shovel – 5.000.000 Coins
• Unique Shovel – 20.000.000 Coins

Materials of other lower levels can also be gathered with the upper level Shovel. For example, while you can gather all of them with Unique Shovel, only Rare Shovel materials and Common Shovel materials can be gathered with Rare Shovel.

With the Shovel equipped, you can go to an excavation area and start excavating by pressing the F key.

Archaeology EXP Amounts

Archaeology Excavation Sites

Excavation Site (Lv.1)

• Spawns in Dorion.
• Can be excavated with all Shovels.
  • Can be excavated in 10×12 = 120 seconds with the Common Shovel,
  • in 10×10 = 100 seconds with the Rare Shovel,
  • in 10×9 = 90 seconds with the Epic Shovel,
  • and in 10×8 = 80 seconds with the Unique Shovel.
• Each Lv.1 excavation site drops 10x Worms.
• Grants 500 (10×50) Archaeology EXP.
• There is a respawn time of 1,800 sec (30 min).

Excavation Site (Lv.+10)

• Spawns in Kingdoms.
• Can be excavated with all Shovels except Common.
  • Can be excavated in 10×12 = 120 seconds with the Rare Shovel,
  • in 10×10 = 100 seconds with the Epic Shovel,
  • and in 10×9 = 90 seconds with the Unique Shovel.
• Each Lv.+10 excavation site drops the following materials, 10x in total:
  • Worm
  • Fossil
  • Nail
  • Crude stones (by 2% chance, excluding Ruby & Topaz)
• Gives 1,000 (10×100) Archaeology EXP.
• There is a respawn time of 1,200 seconds (20 minutes).

Excavation Site (Lv.+20)

• Spawns in Haddar / Hagard.
• Can be excavated with the Epic and Unique Shovels.
  • Can be excavated in 10×12 = 120 seconds with the Epic Shovel,
  • and in 10×10 = 100 seconds with the Unique Shovel.
• Each Lv.+20 dig site drops the following materials, 10x in total:
  • Worm
  • Fossil
  • Skull
  • Nail
  • Rare Key
  • Crude stones (by 12% chance)
• Gives 2,000 (10×200) Archaeology EXP.
• There is a respawn time of 900 seconds (15 minutes).

Excavation Site (Lv.+30)

• Spawns in Death Valley.
• Can be excavated in 10×12 = 120 seconds with Unique Shovel only.
• Each Lv.+30 dig site drops the following materials, 10x in total:
  • Worm
  • Fossil
  • Skull
  • Nail
  • Rare Key
  • Royal Key
  • Crude stones (by 25% chance)
• Gives 6,000 (10×600) Archaeology EXP.
• There is a respawn time of 600 seconds (10 minutes).

Ancient Excavation Site

• Spawns in Death Valley.
• Can be excavated with the Unique Shovel ile only.
• Can be gathered by up to 10 players at the same time.
• Drops one of the following random materials in the specified count:
  • 10x Crude Amber
  • 10x Crude Emerald
  • 10x Crude Ruby
  • 10x Crude Amethyst
  • 10x Crude Sapphire
  • 10x Crude Topaz
  • 3x Rare Obsidian
• Gives 500 Archaeology EXP.
• There is a respawn time of 36,000 sec (10 hrs).

  • Rogue class’ Skinning and Archaeology speed bonus reduced from 10% to 5%.

    • Removed from Kingdoms.

    • Removed from Haddar / Hagard.
    • Respawn time increased from 900 seconds (15 minutes) to 1,200 seconds (20 minutes).
    • No longer drops gemstones.
    • When spawning in Haddar / Hagard, it was respawning every 600 seconds (10 minutes).
    • When spawning in Haddar / Hagard, it was giving 1,200 (10×120) Archaeology EXP.
  • Excavation Site Lv20
    • Removed from Death Valley.
    • When spawning in Death Valley, it was respawning every 600 seconds (10 minutes).
    • When spawning in Death Valley, it was giving 3,000 (10×300) Archaeology EXP.

  • Excavation Site Lv1: Epic Shovel’s gathering time increased from 8 to 9 seconds, while Unique Shovel’s from 6 to 8 seconds.
  • Excavation Site Lv10: Unique Shovel’s gathering time increased from 8 to 9 seconds.
  • Excavation Site Lv20: Crude stones’ drop chance increased from 6% to 9%.
  • Excavation Site Lv30: Crude stones’ drop chance increased from 12% to 25%.
