Rise Online has an item upgrade system that allows weapons, armor, and accessory to be upgraded.
The basic stats of the items increase with each upgrade. Upgrading is done by using certain materials and in-game currency, and the success rate of each item upgrade, except for accessories, varies.
How to upgrade items?
Upgrade process is can be done through the Vintair [Blacksmith]‘s Item Upgrade option in the Dorion Castle.
- Accessory upgrades are performed via the Jewelry Upgrade option,
- and Relic upgrades are performed via the Rewindable Upgrade option.
Weapon and armor upgrade
- When you open the Upgrade window, place the item you want to upghrade in the middle box, and the scroll you will use to upgrade your item (or apply a Dexterity etc. bonus) in any of the 6 boxes around it (it doesn’t matter which).
Note: We also place the Arcana Scroll that increase the chance of success and/or Shards required when upgrading grade +6 and above items, in any of these 6 boxes.
You can also increase your chance of success by up to 10%* by spending Coins or Battle Points.
* Not directly +10%, but 10% of the existing upgrade chance.
- You can see what your item will look like if the upgrade process is successful by clicking on the Preview button.
- We click on the Confirm button to start the upgrade process. The game will warn that there is a chance that the item will be destroyed. We click on the OK button and start the process. If luck is on our side, our improved item will be added to our inventory. If not… gg :)

Accessory Upgrade
Accessory upgrade process is too can be performed through the Vintair [Blacksmith]. The logic is the same as upgrading weapons and armor. For each accessory upgrade, 2 of the same accessory are required, as well as an Accessory Shard and Accessory Upgrade Scroll depending on the quality of the accessory. You can find the required number of materials in the table below.
- Open the accessory upgrade interface by clicking the Jewelry Upgrade option.
- Place the accessory you want to upgrade in the left and top boxes, the Accessory Shards and Accessory Upgrade Scroll in the six boxes on the side, and click Confirm.
- There is no chance of failure when upgrading accessories, you can upgrade them to the next level directly.
Rare, Epic, & Unique Item Upgrade
When upgrading Rare, Epic and Unique items, Weapon Shards and Armor Shards are required in addition to the Upgrade Scroll.
These Shards can be obtained by dismantling items of the relevant quality (Rare Shard by dismantling Rare items, Epic Shard by dismantling Epic items, Unique Shard by dismantling Unique items) or from various treasure chests. You can dismantle items using the Dismantle (Shift+D) interface.

Refinement Item Upgrade System
The Refinement item upgrade system has been added to Rise Online with the patch 9.4.0. With this system, items can be upgraded to values between +7, +8, +9 and +10 (e.g. +7.3, +8.5, +9.9). For comprehensive information about the system, you can check out our content here.
Item Upgrade Fees
When upgrading items, a certain Coin fee is required in addition to various scrolls and Shards.
The upgrade fees in the tables below do not include discounts, they are raw prices. Discounts applied to item upgrade fees for Craft Premium (10%) and Battle Premium (15%) users.

Scrolls
The scrolls used in upgrade processes are listed in the tables below along with their functions.
Scrolls are sold at the NPC named [Scroll Merchant] Shael, located next to the Blacksmith. Some of them can be dropped from creatures.
