Fishing Baits
Certain baits are required for Fishing. It is sufficient to have these baits in the inventory, there is currently no system such as attaching them to the fishing rod.
- Worm: Basic fish bait. Used from level 1 onwards.
- [Supply Merchant] Sold by Tarron, also obtained from Archaeology excavation sites.
- Horse Mackerel: Used to catch high level fish with the Unique Fishing Rod in Haddar / Hagard.
- It is also caught through Fishing.
- Shrimp: Used for Fishing with the Elite Fishing Rod in Death Valley.
- It is also caught through Fishing.
“Bait not found” Error
Bait not found means “no bait found”. :) Depending on the fishing rod you use, it means that there is not enough or suitable bait in your inventory. To catch a fish (or seafood), you must use the right bait on the right fishing rod.
Notes About Fishing
- You cannot use items that restore HP and MP together with instant potions. For example, you cannot use Flounder and Great mana potion together. You can use one and then use the other.
- You can use instant potions and items that regenerate HP over time together. For example, you can use Catfish and Great health potion together. However, you cannot use them together with items that regenerate HP/MP over time. For example, you cannot use Catfish and Great HP Recovery Potion together.
- You can use Max HP and MP items together with a Priest’s Max HP/MP buffs. For example, if you have 5000 HP with a 2000 HP buff, you can consume Carp to reach 5100 Max HP for 10 minutes.
- You cannot use Stingray with a physical defense buff. So you can’t eat Stingray if you have a physical AC buff.
- Bluefin Tuna, Squid, Cod, Puffer, Blue Marlin and Swordfish can be used with other buffs.
- You need worms to catch fish. You can obtain Worms from Supply Merchant NPC or from Archaeology excavation sites.
- To catch a seafood in Death Valley, an Elite Fishing Rod is required, which can be obtained from the [Supply Merchant] Tarron NPC. Again, Shrimp, not Worm, can be used as bait on this fishing rod.
- The bait required for the Unique Fishing Rod is Horse Mackerel.
